Hello from Denis and Karen Matthews in the lovely town of Coominya, QLD.

We’ve always loved farming our little paradise, but now our passion is teaching you to grow your own fresh produce. Inspired by the need for fresher, better-quality food, we created The Salad Table. It’s our mission to make growing your own food easy and affordable.

On a typical Sunday, while most were enjoying a BBQ or cricket, I was harvesting and loading my truck with fresh herbs and lettuce. It bothered me that these beautiful plants wouldn’t reach your plate for over a week, losing their freshness and quality. That’s when I decided to make a change.

The Salad Table was born out of the desire to allow everyone to grow fresh produce at home. Our garden system uses the same principles as our farm, but on a smaller, personal scale. After successful trials with my mum and father-in-law, who both had amazing results, we knew we were onto something special. The interest at our local farmers markets confirmed it, and soon, Salad Tables were spreading all over Australia.
